What counts as a "sale" or "sharing"

Under California law, our business model — disclosing your information to Matched Partners for them to contact you about their offers — may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We disclose this explicitly: when you submit a form on rent2ownmyhome.com, we share your information with one or more third-party Matched Partners.

Your rights

Right to know — request a copy of the personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, or "sold" / shared about you in the prior 12 months
Right to delete — request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to limited legal retention exceptions
Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
Right to opt out of sale / sharing — direct us to stop disclosing your information to Matched Partners for cross-context behavioral advertising or other "sale" / "share" purposes going forward
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — restrict our use of sensitive data to what is necessary to provide the services you requested
Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights (we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality)

How to submit a request

To exercise any of the rights above, submit a request using the form below, or email contact@rent2ownmyhome.com with the subject line CCPA Request and include:

Your full name
The email address and/or phone number you used when you submitted information to us
A clear description of which right(s) you are exercising
Confirmation that you are a California resident

We will verify your identity (usually by matching the contact information you provided against our records) and respond within 45 days, or notify you if we need an additional 45 days. There is no charge for making a request. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of that authorization.

"Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"

If you simply want to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email contact@rent2ownmyhome.com with "Do Not Sell" in the subject line and include the email address and/or phone number you submitted. We will honor the request within 15 business days and will not share that information with Matched Partners going forward (existing partners who already received your information prior to the request are governed by their own privacy practices, which you may need to contact separately).

Shine the Light

California Civil Code § 1798.83 (the "Shine the Light" law) allows California residents to request certain information about disclosures we make to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. To make such a request, email us at contact@rent2ownmyhome.com.

Minors

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents under the age of 16.
